I’ve also used Purina one and 4 health brands with no issues thus far. Directions: Put add-ons /supplements of the day on the food, then fill with safe drinking water so it’s a half inch below full saturation .

  • Do not give them access to rope toys as they can eat them- but not digest them.

  • Airedale puppies should be confined for 20 minutes after eating to restrict activity and reduce any chance of stomach twist.

  • Pickup and read the Airedale book thru each step of your pups growth, it will give you a better insider view of what makes them unique and the better raising practices.

  • All dogs also need adequate rest and limited activities to prevent health problems.

Veterinary and Health-

It is strongly recommended to follow our guide to supplements and food for good health. There has been a couple major points of difference in standard veterinary advice versus research scientists in animal biology which can effect any dog.

  • From experience and thru advanced research, many smarter large breed dogs have experienced worse quality of life, early on (unexpected major procedure triggered health problems) and shorter lifespans by getting them neutered or spayed before 25 months of age, as the procedure removes a dog's ability to grow and regulate growth all over their body to finish into adulthood.  We strongly recommend not allowing your dog to go thru the procedure before 25 months of age. Standard state regulated veterinarians must comply with state and federal guidelines to recommend that their clients dogs be "fixed" too soon, merely to curb the possibility of dog population overgrowth, not considering the possible negative effects for the dog.

  • This same issue can be applied to vaccines as well, so push out to the limits of what is an acceptable vaccine effectiveness schedule for when you dog gets his or her regular vaccines (non -rabies), unless the dog is in a potentially high risk environment or situation, and in need of the protection more and it outweighs the possible side effects of the vaccines.

  • Be sure to get the rabies vaccines at the local town recommended intervals according to law. There are other ways to control pests, unwanted pregnancy and disease by controlling the environment that your pet is allowed to interact with too, instead of using procedures and vaccines as the standard go-to solution.

  • Bring your puppy into a veterinarian soon after picking them up, as puppies are more susceptible to environmental health issues than adult dogs.

  • By late 2025, due to a wet previous 2 years in this entire region, issues from parasites like mites and other pests like mosquitos, foxes etc. were confirmed to be on the rise. Promptly consult a dog professional on how to prevent and/or stop these issues.
